It wasn't felt statewide but the Bay area felt some shaking from an earthquake late Monday night.
Weak shaking was felt at 10:33 p.m. in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose according to the United States Geological Survey. USGS says the epicenter was in the Pleasant Hill and the Walnut Creek areas with a preliminary depth of about 9 miles, which officials say is fairly deep for this part of the world.
There have been no reports of injuries or severe property damage.
