Bay area hit by minor earthquake Monday night

It wasn't felt statewide but the Bay area felt some shaking from an earthquake late Monday night.

Weak shaking was felt at 10:33 p.m. in San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose according to the United States Geological Survey. USGS says the epicenter was in the Pleasant Hill and the Walnut Creek areas with a preliminary depth of about 9 miles, which officials say is fairly deep for this part of the world.

There have been no reports of injuries or severe property damage.
