Today the Senate voted to advance Brett Kavanaugh's nomination.
The Senate received a majority vote to invoke cloture on the debate surrounding Judge Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination. The Senate will be able to advance to a final confirmation vote as early as Saturday.
The final vote was 51 to 49.
President Trump tweeted out his approval of the vote.
