TEHACHAPI — Tehachapi Police are partnering with Ring.com to help fight crime in their community.

Tuesday the police department is hosting two Coffee with a Cop events to educate people on their partnership with Ring.com. The events are from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Tehachapi Police Department.

On Wednesday Tehachapi and Ring will launch their partnership to help Tehachapi residents purchase Ring doorbell security cameras and services for a discounted rate. Tehachapi Police community engagement specialist, Key Budge, said Tehachapi city county approved $5,000 of fund for the program and Ring matched that money for the partnership.

Budge said, the promotional period for Tehachapi residents to buy the Ring security cameras and services is from April 17th to May 31st. A promotional code will be emailed to residents once daily on Monday through Friday at 3 p.m. The $100 dollar discounts are valid on a first-come-first-serve basis to the first 100 residents who live inside the Tehachapi city limits.
