Deputies continue to search for hiker Frank Wolsko who was reported missing Tuesday when he didn't show up to work in Delano. He lives in Bakersfield.

Frank Wolsko, 56, left over the weekend on an unknown day for a day hike to Maggie Lakes. He was reported missing Tuesday.

With him was a black Labrador.

A black lab was found at a trailhead Monday by a couple from Las Vegas. They took the dog to a veterinarian in Porterville where the dog's owner was identified as Frank Wolsko using an implanted chip.

When news reports on Tuesday announced a missing hiker's name, Frank Wolsko, the veterinarian clinic realized they had his dog. They reported this information to the Tulare County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Search and Rescue team is searching for Frank Wolsko in the Balch Park and Golden Trout Wilderness areas.
