A car accident and subsequent grass fire are causing delays on northbound 204 near Airport Drive.
CHP is reporting that a car went off the roadway near the northbound 204 off ramp to Airport Drive and caught on fire. No word on injuries.
The car fire then led to a small grass fire just off the highway. Fire officials responded.
The northbound 204 is shut down at F Street, affecting drivers who are heading north from downtown Bakersfield.
Officials also believe that a suspected DUI driver could be to blame for the accident.
