For the last 18 months Kern County Parks and Recreation has been debating a fee to help maintain Hart Park.

And for the last 18 months a decision has not been made.

On Wednesday night the commissioners came to a decision that would charge people planning to park for a single day a one time fee of $5.

For those who visit the park more often,  a $50 annual pass was also included in the proposal.

The proposal is now being given to the Board of Supervisors and a decision is not expected until sometime next year.
