The Arvin Police Department is investigating an early morning homicide.
Around 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Arvin Police officers were dispatched to the Kern County Housing Authority on Meyer Street regarding a welfare check on a male who was laying on the ground.
When officers arrived they discovered a deceased black male adult, possibly 20 years of age, laying on the sidewalk. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
