A sergeant with the Bakersfield Police Department says a man arrived to BPD headquarters suffering from a gun shot wound. The man was then taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries. BPD is still searching for a suspect and scene for where this shooting possibly happened.
A shooting victim was dropped off at Bakersfield Police Department headquarters.
Officials said that at about 10 p.m. Saturday, a man was dropped off at the BPD headquarters with gunshot wounds.
Sgt. Gerrity with the BPD said that he's unsure how many people were in the car when it ended up in front of the BPD headquarters.
Gerrity said that the shooting originally happened in the Union Avenue and Brundage Lane area.
The male victim was taken to an area hospital with what were originally described as moderate to major injuries; BPD later said that the injuries were non-life threatening.
There is no suspect information at this time.
