Traffic updates for the Bakersfield area.

At various times during the week of August 29th, 2016 to September 2nd, 2016 modification of several traffic signals along Ming Avenue from Manning Street to So. Real Road will require signals to be either temporarily turned off, or placed on flashing red to allow the installation of upgraded electrical equipment.

During these times of traffic signal interruption, temporary stop signs may be placed requiring four way stops in all directions. This work will be done between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.  All traffic signals will be returned to a fully functional condition at the end of each shift.

Drivers are advised to use caution and to take alternate routes or allow extra travel time through this area.

The City thanks the public for their patience during the construction of these improvements.
