Upcoming conference to address, combat postal crime including mail theft in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to a news release, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the U.S. Attorney’s Office will host a presser about their continued efforts to address and combat postal crime including mail theft next week.

Event organizers say USPIS Inspector in Charge Rafael E. Nunez, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott, Kern County District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer, Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood and Bakersfield Chief of Police Lyle Martin will all be in attendance.

The press conference is scheduled for June 10 at 2 p.m. at Merle Haggard Post Office located at 1730 18th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301.
