BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner's Office identified the man killed in a Southeast Bakersfield shooting last week as Felipe Laines Alfaro, 45, of Tehachapi.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched Wednesday around 3:12 p.m. to the area of Cottonwood Road, between E. Pacheco Road and E. White Lane, for reports of a shooting.

When they arrived they found a Alfaro with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

KCSO said there is no suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
