A night spent at the Bakersfield Rodeo turned into a wild ride for a woman after her trailer was stolen while she was still in it.
It all started around 1:30 a.m. on May 8th, when police received a call of a stolen truck with a woman inside of the trailer attached to it.
The woman turned out to be the truck’s owner and she was able to call 911 to report the crime as it was happening. Police quickly located the truck and ending the pursuit at Real Road.
Melinda Everett was arrested and charged with taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and evading a police officer.
