The Bakersfield Fire Department will host a live Turkey Fryer Safety demonstration on Tuesday.
Traditional turkey cooking methods now include deep-frying, which BFD said is more dangerous than baking a turkey.
The demonstration will include a review of safety tips starting at 2 p.m. on Nov. 21.
