The 26-year-old artist discovered his love for music seven years ago while attending Bakersfield College.
"I just graduated high school and was going to BC the local college here and that whole summer I just started learning to play the guitar and I didn't really start singing until six months afterwards." said Fenn.
Petter Fenn, partnered with Grizzrivers on writing this hit song. The fun fact is, the two have never met.
"We've never met in person we just met online there's a website called Sound Cloud," said Fenn. "Literally one day he sent me this song it was like two months ago and he said hey here's a song I would love for you to write something to it and sing over it."
For about two weeks nothing happened and the song only got 1,000 plays.
"A couple days ago when I was in Columbia I saw we were going viral on the charts and this is the United States viral Spotify charts as number one," said Fenn.
There are artist like Macklemore, Kesha and Skrillex that are bellow Peter and Grizzrivers song.
“It is so humbling to be featured on Spotify’s ‘United States Viral 50’ chart and to be included next to some of today’s most popular and talented artists,” said Fenn. “The last week has been a whirlwind and I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without the support from my community, family and friends in Bakersfield.”
Fenn pulls from artists ranging from Otis Redding and Merle Haggard.
"The song is really fun and people are really connecting with it and it's just been a cool 48 hours."
For the past two years, the musician has been working as a producer, songwriter and singer out of Bakersfield, California.
