The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in east Bakersfield early Saturday morning.
Officials responded to the area of E. California and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd just after midnight.

Upon arrival, officials found evidence of a shooting, but the victim, an adult man, had already been privately transported to a local hospital.
Police say the victim had minor gunshot wounds to his arm.
The shooting is under investigation, anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call BPD at 327-7111.
