UPDATE (May 22, 2017 2:11 p.m.): The Coroner has identified the two people found dead in an apartment as 71-year-old Eugene Charles Storer and 38-year-old Brandy Jean Meza of Bakersfield. The cause and manner of death is pending.

The Bakersfield Police Department responded to the 400 block of 20th street just after 11:30 a.m. for a dead person inside of an apartment building.
Officials say once they entered the apartment, they located two deceased people inside.
Police tell 23ABC this incident is being investigated as a suspicious death and the identities of the victims have not yet been identified.
