The California Independent System Operator issued a Flex Alert for Wednesday, July 27 and Thursday, July 28.

Californians are urged to conserve electricity and cut back their power use for both days from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. to avoid power disruptions.

California ISO recommends using appliances after 9 p.m., adjusting A/C to 78 degrees or higher, and turning off unnecessary lights during this time.
