BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Coroner has identified the victim of a shooting in East Bakersfield on Monday, January 28.

According to officials, 29-year-old Jose Francisco Cachu was shot at the 1300 block of Pacific Street and was transported to Kern Medical where he died from his injuries.

A postmortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of his death.
