BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Just after 5 p.m. on Monday, January 28, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Pacific Street for a victim of a shooting.

Officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was then transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Kern County Coroner.
