BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Monday morning Janet Best was in her front yard when a group of dogs came behind her and latched on to both of her legs, leaving her bitten a bloody.
“These six dogs came down the street and they surrounded me,” said Best.
In videos taken by residents in the southwest Bakersfield neighborhood you can see multiple dogs being removed from the home.
“I’ve got about six bites,” said Best.
23ABC reached out to the city who confirmed the animal control report is being processed. No details about the incident are being released at this time. However, a city official did say multiple dogs have been removed from the neighborhood.
According to neighbors at the scene, Best is the second person attacked this morning. The dogs have allegedly attacked other neighbors in the community too.
23ABC went to the owners home for comment but were unsuccessful in attempting to reach him.
