Business owners in Tehachapi are getting the opportunity to make their store fronts more beautiful with help from the city.

In an effort to revitalize the city’s downtown commercial district, Main Street Tehachapi is offering grants to businesses to update their facades.

The grants have been given to several local businesses already.

Businesses can apply for up to $3,000.

To be eligible recipients must match the grant money, putting work into their store fronts.

Main Street Tehachapi had nearly $20,000 to give. It will be rewarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
