Sing-a-longs, hands-on family exhibits, and story time will all be at First 5 Kern's inaugural Wee 5 Expo today, Thursday October 19, 2017 at Third Thursday at Mill Creek Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The expo will be a learning experience for kids under the age of 5 years old as well as their parents.

Kids are invited to join in on around 40 hands-on activities made out of recycled materials that parents can then take and replicate at home. Some of those activities include making water bottles into rattles, cardboard ball mazes, among other things that inspire parents to engage with their kids. 

There will also be a designated time for singing with children. Between 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. there will be sing-a-longs with kids to help engage both them and their parents. 

The objective of the Wee 5 Expo is to educate families and emphasize the importance of reading, singing, and talking with kids.
