BAKERSFIELD, Calf. — A house fire in Southeast Bakersfield left eight people displaced Monday evening.
According to the Bakersfield Fire Department, crews responded to a house fire around 6 p.m. at the 3000 block Laurel Drive. When crews arrived they found smoke protruding from the roof.
Officials believe the fire was sparked by an electrical issue and had it knocked down in 15 minutes. Most of the damage was isolated to the attic of the house.
