BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — California Avenue, between Easton Drive and Marella Way, will be closed during nighttime hours from Sunday through Thursday next week.
This closure is scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night.
The closure is needed to remove falsework from the newly constructed bridge and erecting it for the second bridge, which will carry westbound traffic on the Centennial Corridor freeway.
Residents can detour around the work zone by using Oak Street to Stockdale Avenue if traveling west and Stockdale Avenue to Oak Street if traveling east.
