A small series of earthquakes ranging from 2.5 to 3.1 magnitude shook the areas of Ridgecrest and Trona Monday.
A 3.1M quake hit about 8 kilometers east of Ridgecrest Monday, just before 11 a.m. The quake was 6.5 km in depth.
Later that day, a 3.6M quake hit 22 km south of Trona, about 24 miles east of Ridgecrest. That quake sruck around 4:06 p.m. at a depth of 2.7 km. Minutes later, around 4:09 p.m. a magnitude 2.5 quake shook the same area.
These quakes coming a little over four months since the 6.4M and 7.1M quakes rocked the Ridgecrest area.
