Bakersfield Police officials shutdown portions of Westside Parkway as a precaution on Saturday evening due to the weather.

Westside Parkway reopens following flooding
This was the second time officials closed the parkway in a week.
On Friday night, BPD officers shutdown both directions of the Westside Parkway at Stockdale Highway and Allen Rd. after it flooded.
Officials are saying at this time that Eastbound lanes are closed. The westbound lanes still open.
As a precaution, BPD officers are setting up pumps in case of heavy rain in the area.
