Expect a foggy weekend across much of the San Joaquin Valley. Fog will persist through at least mid week during the evening and morning hours, making travel hazardous. On Saturday night multiple highways have been impacted by this dense fog. This includes Highway 99, Highway 41, Highway 43, Highway 180, Highway 152, Highway 198 west of Interstate 5, and Interstate 5 south of Lost Hills. Visibilities could drop as low as 200 feet by morning.

Air quality will remain unhealthy for sensitive groups on Sunday, with an AQI of 107.

A weather system passing to our north could bring strong winds into the Kern County mountain and desert communities on Tuesday afternoon through the evening hours.

Expect dry conditions through at least Christmas day, along with slightly above average temperatures. Wet weather may return after Christmas. Expect to see those mid 60's for the start of Winter by Monday.
