BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — An adult man was found dead in a canal near South. H Street south of Panama Saturday morning, after officials said a call came in around 8 a.m. for a vehicle in a canal.

The vehicle was described as a silver colored Honda.

Officials said it is unclear how the man and the car ended up in the canal but that it appeared the man had been in the canal for a while before first responders arrived.
