750-acre fire burns along Highway 190 in Tule River Canyon

The Tule Fire located along Highway 190 in Giant Sequoia National Monument has grown to 750 acres.

The fire is north of Coffee Camp on the Western Divide Ranger District and has caused lane closures and traffic control on Highway 190, according to forest service officials.

The blaze started Monday night and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Tule Fire poses a threat to the areas of Doyle Springs, Coffee Camp, Camp Nelson and the Scicon area.
