The American Red Cross will be offering recovery supplies for residents with homes damaged or destroyed in the Cedar Fire this Monday, August 29, 2016.

Volunteers will be stationed at the Dollar General, 5885 Wofford Blvd., Wofford Heights, CA 93285 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Volunteers will be providing affected residents with water, snacks, masks, gloves, and more.

"In some cases these families have lost everything," said Regional Director of Communications Jessica Piffero. "There's so much to think about, from the cleanup, to paperwork, or simply buying new clothes. Our volunteers are here to help make that process a little easier."

The Red Cross has been supporting families affected by the Cedar Fire at emergency shelters and evacuation centers since the fire began nearly two weeks ago. Volunteer shelter workers had been providing meals, water, health services, lodging and more for dozens of residents.

The Red Cross is able to provide disaster relief services during wildfire season thanks to the generosity of the community. The best way to help local wildfire relief efforts is through a financial donation. Visit redcross.org to make an online donation to your local chapter.
