Annual CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive ends Monday, Dec. 18

Help a local child in need this holiday season through California Highway Patrol's annual holiday toy drive.

The eighth annual CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive starts today. You can drop off new and unwrapped toys to several locations around Bakersfield. 23ABC is one of the event sponsors.

Toys will be collected to benefit local babies and children up to 16 years old.

Drop-off locations:

- CHP Headquarters, 9855 Compagnoni St

- KERO 23ABC, 321 21st St  

- Motor City, 3215 Pacheco Rd

- Carneceria La Carreta, 3015 Calloway Dr and 5792 Stine Rd

- Bakersfield Californian, 1707 Eye St

On Wednesday, Dec. 6, toys can be dropped off in the Bakersfield Californian parking lot on the corner of 18th and H Streets between 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.

CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive will run through Monday, Dec. 18. 

The toy drive has helped families throughout California for more than 25 years.
