Partnering with the ALS Association Golden West Chapter and Minor League Baseball, the Bakersfield Blaze hopes to 'strikeout' ALS.

On Thursday, May 26th, the Blaze will take on the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and honor those living with Lou Gehrig's disease.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a fatal, neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This 'Strikeout Lou Gehrig's Disease' game will raise awareness of ALS and help promote the national ALS registry.

50% of money from tickets purchased will support the ALS Association Golden West Chapter in care services, public policy and research.

For tickets, click here and use the code ALS for $8 tickets.

Gates open at 6:30 and the game starts at 7:30 p.m.
