Bakersfield City Hall is preparing for Karen Goh to fill the mayor’s seat.

A weekly letter from the city manager’s office stated:

The post-election count of provisional and absentee ballots seem to drag out formal election results. Nevertheless, we would like to finally congratulate Mayor-elect Karen Goh on her election. We look forward to working with you in the near future.

The latest Kern County elections results show Goh ahead of Kyle Carter by more than 6,000 votes but there are more ballots to be counted.
