A Bakersfield man who was facing a first-degree murder charge for the death of Efren Ramon Estrada took a plea deal in court today.

Peter David Garcia pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter, the first-degree murder charge was dropped.
Estrada's remains were found inside of a blue recycle bin in the 1600 block of Wilson Road in October of 2014.
Garcia will be sentenced October 6th.
