The team behind the Bakersfield Marathon, the Active Bakersfield Alliance, will be holding a briefing Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 11 a.m where they plan to discuss logistics related to the upcoming race.

Course routes, street closures, impact to the city during the race, and the benefits an event like this cant bring to the city will all be discussed at today's briefing. 

California State University, Bakersfield will also be at the briefing to comment on not only the benefits the race brings to the university, but also the benefits it has on the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund. 

This year's Bakersfield Marathon will be the second annual Bakersfield Marathon.
