Bakersfield Police investigating a stabbing outside of Reading Cinemas that left two injured

UPDATE (May 20 4:38a): On Friday around 11:45 p.m. officers responded to a report of a stabbing outside the Reading Cinema near Ming Ave. and Wible Rd. 

Officers found an adult man suffering from moderate injuries. He was transported to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition. 

Police said around 30 minutes later a second adult man with stab wounds arrived at a local hospital with major injuries. 

He was listed in critical condition.

Police said they believe both victims were stabbed during the same incident. 

There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

Two people are in the hospital after they were stabbed outside of Reading Cinemas at Valley Plaza Mall Friday night. 

Bakersfield Police said it happened just after midnight.

Officers said one person suffered major injuries and the other suffered minor injuries. 

Police do not have a suspect.
