California City Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened early Sunday morning.
Police said the accident was reported shortly after midnight.
The westbound lanes of Highway 58 remained closed as of 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Officials said a portion of the freeway is expected to reopen around 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
