The Kern County Sheriff's Office discovered a body in the Kern River at Lake Ming on Monday morning.
KCSO received word of a body in the river just before 10:00 a.m this morning. The body has not been identified at this time.
A swimmer was reported missing on July 1 and search and rescue teams continued to search for the swimmer on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but it is unknown if the two cases are connected.
