Bolthouse Farms was evacuated this afternoon after the Bakersfield Police Department received a call saying three explosives had been planted in the complex.

Approximately 1,300 employees were evacuated around 4 PM and were not allowed back in until 7:30 PM to claim their belongings. They were only allowed in after small areas in the facility were deemed clear.

BPD, Kern County Sheriff's Department, Hazmat and Kern County Fire Department and medical teams were on site for the early part of the evening. Officials are still investigating the area and there is no suspect at this time.

Bolthouse Farms sells a line of fresh juice beverages. According to the business research company, Bolthouse Farms is one of the United States' leading producers of carrots.
