UPDATE (5:57 a.m.): Bakersfield Police officials are saying a passerby found a body in an alley in the area of Pacific and Miller Streets around 5 a.m. Tuesday.

BPD officials aren't sure what led to the death.

Bakersfield Police responded to reports of a shooting in East Bakersfield on Tuesday morning.

According to Bakersfield Police, a shooting was reported around 5 a.m. in the area of Pacific and Miller Streets.

It's not known if anyone was hit.
