A woman was shot in the leg Monday morning at the Double Tree Inn.

At about 8 a.m., Bakersfield police officers were sent to a local hospital to check the welfare of an adult female who had been shot in the leg. The investigation revealed that the victim was inside of a hotel room at the Double Tree Inn when she was accidentally shot in the leg by a male acquaintance.

Officers went to that room and located several firearms and drugs.

They arrested Brandon Parker, 24, for various weapons and narcotics violations. It does not appear that Parker was the person who shot the victim.
