Emergency crews are headed to reports of a fire in the Kern River bed near Allen Road.
23ABC News has received several reports of smoke seen in the area.
It's unclear how big the fire is at this point or what may have caused it.
Traffic didn't immediately appear to be impacted by the reported blaze.
