California City man arrested for threatening, beating former home nurse

On May 17, 2017, California City Police Department Officers responded to the 8700 block of California City Blvd. for a person armed with a knife.

As officers were responding to the residence, they received updated information from our dispatcher informing them the suspect was holding a knife to the victim's neck.

Upon arrival, the officers discovered blood on the front door and window of the residence. They contacted the victim who allowed them in the house and directed them to the suspect.

During their investigation Officers determined that Dana Fultz had beaten his former home nurse and held a knife to her throat.

Officers contacted Fultz who refused to comply with the officers' orders. Officers were forced to use a Taser on Fultz.

Fultz was subsequently arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats.

Fultz was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats. The victim is expected to make a full recovery.
