It is anticipated that the Truxtun Avenue Operational Improvements Project will advertise for construction bids in just a couple of weeks, award a bid in November, and begin construction in January. 

The project will make improvements to Truxtun Avenue by adding a lane in each direction from west of state route 99 overcrossing to east of Elm Street. 

The curve at the Truxtun Ave and Westwind Drive intersection will be modified and the project will construct a right-turn deceleration lane for westbound traffic turning north onto Westwind Drive.

East of Oak Street, the project will be constructed during the day in order to avoid disruptions during the daytime to the nearby residential homes. 

West of Oak Street, the project will be constructed during the night time to limit disruptions to nearby businesses and help mitigate daytime traffic.
