E-Waste Drive being held at California State University, Bakersfield

Students at California State University, Bakersfield are teaming up with Alianza Recycling and Metro Shedding to host an E-Waste Drive on Saturday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the campus.

The drive is part of the university’s Sustainability Month and Recyclemania.

Bakersfield residents are invited to drop off their old digital and electronic items and have access to free paper shredding.

The empty lot location is near the Camino Media entrance.

Items suitable for drop-off, include: old televisions (no limit on quantity or size); cell phones; flat screens; DVDs; game consoles; printers; and household appliances. Items that will not be accepted are: large appliances; light bulbs; fluorescent tubes; and alkaline batteries.
