South Lake residents receive keys to new homes
Many lives in South Lake are now coming full circle after the most destructive fire in Kern County history.
Almost a year ago the Erskine Fire forced residents out of the area and many lost everything.
Wednesday morning several residents in the area received the keys to their new homes thanks to FEMA.
What used to be empty lots with the ashes of homes, has slowly started to be replaced by these FEMA homes.
People who have lived in the same home for decades have the chance to continue living there after their first home was burned.
