Family fundraising for funeral expenses for Oildale man who was stabbed and killed

The family of an Oildale man who was stabbed to death will be hosting a BBQ and car wash fundraiser Saturday. 

Arnold Ford was stabbed to death in the 1100 block of Roberts Lane last weekend. Detectives with the Kern County Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher Mangham, 30, for murder. He is currently being held on $500,000 bail.

Ford's family is trying to raise money for funeral expenses. 

Saturday they will hold the fundraiser at 701 Decatur. The car wash starts at 9 a.m.

The family will also be selling a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, chips and soda or BBQ chicken plate with baked beans, a roll, chips and soda for $6 each. There will also be $1 hot dogs for sale.

Food will be for sale starting around 10 a.m.
