You have the chance to add a furry friend to your family Saturday at the Kern County Pet Fair!

The event is in its 5th year and promises to have just the right pet to add to your family. 

A long list of animal shelters are scheduled to be in attendance to provide everything from cats to dogs to turtles. 

The event is free to attend and adoption fees depend on the shelter where you adopt. 

It is being held at the Kern County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

There will be activities for children, pet adoptions, pet contests, demonstrations, music, food and shopping.
