AUgust The Bakersfield Police Department Community Relations Unit is offering free child ID cards for anyone in the public.

You can get the child ID cards between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Child ID cards include a photo, finger prints, and physical descriptions of the child.

The cards are a helpful tool to keep children's information in one place, should the police ever need the information. 

Please know your child's height, weight, and emergency contact information for their parent/guardian. 

If you'd like to get a child ID for your child, you can go to the Bakersfield Police Department at 1601 Truxtun Ave.
