Bakersfield, Calif. - Friends and family members of Brian Vigue came together for a carwash fundraiser in Oildale on Saturday afternoon after his body was found near East High School on Wednesday.
Vigue's loved ones gathered on Oildale Drive and Roberts Lane to raise money for the 28-year-old's funeral. Family members say Vigue had been released from jail just days before his body was discovered on Quincy street.
The coroner's office has not yet released a cause of death, but say Vigue was likely killed in a different location than where he was found.
Family members say they will continue to hold carwash fundraisers at the same location until they have enough money to give him a proper burial.
